The Sunningdale Go-kart Challenge was not a DC4B event, but we did put in a team in the shape of Marek and Stefan. The course was on a grassy slope behind the Civil Service College with a reasonably steep downhill, a right hand turn and then a gentle slope down to the finish line. Each team was allowed one “pusher” who could push in a short “pushing zone” at the top of the slope – after that it was all down to the driver. The event was well organised with sensible safety precautions none of which got in the way of the fun.
Hopefully the event will run again next year and we’ll field a bigger and even faster team.
