The weather may have been freezing, but nothing could deter the 32 lads and dads who met in the woods at Hall Grove School to learn survival crafts.
The activities included building shelters using army surplus IPK’s (individual protection kit), pen-knife skills and fire lighting using a fire steel.
The evening finished off in the dark and cold with potatoes baked on the fire and some friendly banter back and forth across the fire circle.
Well done to Oliver and Tom who won against stiff competition in the shelter building and enormous thanks to the Headmaster of Hall Grove School, Mr Graham, for hosting us.
